Our vision continues to be addressing the physical and spiritual hunger of people in our neighborhoods.
Metro Ministries was started in June of 2010. With our primary focus on outreach to the urban community of Denver, we have grown every year.
Metro Ministries is a Denver based 501(c) (3) based charity serving the poor and working poor of the greater Denver metropolitan area.

Robert L. Naranjo
Program Manager/Associate Pastor
I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and am a proud parent of a teenage boy whom the Lord blessed me with in 2007. I’ve worked hard all my life, securing my first job at the age of 13 as a teacher’s aide for the Head Start Program in Denver, Colorado. I’ve held various positions throughout the years; they include construction, landscaping, and a tractor-trailer operator.
I first met Pastor John Gallegos in 2013, when I was initially introduced to Metro-Ministries, Inc. In 2015, I met Pastor Bob Van Wyck when he led a group of teenagers from Minnesota during a Denver Mission trip. In 2020, I was given the privilege of serving and working alongside both Pastor John and Pastor Bob. I’ve learned immeasurable lessons from both, which includes how to serve and love what I do.
My position of record with Metro-Ministries, Inc., is Program Manager. As such, I pick-up, receive and record food donations; with support from staff and volunteers, organize and deliver healthy food options to low-income neighborhoods/guests within the Denver Metropolitan area; and manage warehouse activities. I also manage the Healthy Food for Denver’s Kid’s Program for Metro-Ministries, Inc. I am thankful and blessed for the knowledge the Lord has given me to fulfill the duties of the positions I’ve held; however, nothing measures up to the joy and blessings of the opportunity to serve others.
In 2021, after the sudden and unfortunate passing of Pastor John, I was asked by Pastor Bob to accept the Associate Pastor position with Metro-Ministries, Inc., an opportunity that I welcomed. I am currently taking classes at The Christian Leaders Institute so that I may become a licensed Pastor. I wish to continue my education with the goal of becoming an ordained pastor in the Christian church.
I am thankful to be part of God’s Ministry, with awesome people that I serve with daily. I am also blessed that I’m able to serve wonderful guests and be a dad to an amazing son.
